How do I get published?

Getting your work published with RGPublishing couldn't be easier. Simply fill in the application form, sending us your details and we will create an RGPublishing Office account for you, through which you can upload your books for approval. You choose the title, you decide upon the blurb, you choose the price. To make things even easier, as soon as you have an account with us, you are free to submit as many books or other similar works for approval as you so wish. The possibilities really are endless. With RGPublishing you have complete artistic freedom over your work and maintain complete control over it's content and copyright for the duration of your time with us.

So how does it work?

Once you have signed up as an author with RGPublishing we will create an account for you that allows you to access RGPublishing Office which will look something like this:

RGPublishing Office

With the 'Add Book' function, uploading new works for approval couldn't be easier and really is just the click of a few buttons [Note: uploads must be in .pdf format]. Equally, with the in-built stats tracking system you are able to see the sales statistics for all of your works currently available for download from RGPublishing, and in so doing keep a track of your profits.

So how much will I earn?

RGPublishing uses a cart system integrated with PayPal and as such there are fees incurred from PayPal themselves and of course, there is RGPublishing's own percentage rate (negotiable based on sales, popularity, and the number of titles you already hold with us). From the example given above The Powers that be by MJRyder is currently up for sale at £4. There has been one copy downloaded from the site. Once PayPal and RGPublishing costs have been taken into account this means MJRyder will take away a total of £2.58 for the sale of his one book.

[Please note: as author you are responsible for announcing any income you earn through RGPublishing to the relevant tax authorities.]

How can I market my book?

RGPublishing prides itself on creating a community based around authors and their readers. As such when you sign up for an account with RGPublishing we also create an Author account for you on our forums. The idea is of course that as an author you will naturally bring with you a selection of friends and family who are interested in paying to download your work. The more people you can bring to the site to buy your book and visit our forums, the larger our community will grow. The more authors we have, the more readers we have. The more readers we have, the more readers we will find willing to try downloading works by other writers and so further increase sales for all our authors. Of course there are other services we can offer you to help market your books, such as building you your own personal website, investing in marketing material and so on, but at the centre of our marketing strategy here, community is key. Without a community and some very dedicated members of staff we would not exist as an organisation, so we would encourage every new author with us to actively engage in our community and bring with them as many friends and supporters as possible so that together, we might all be stronger.

How can I get help?

Help can be found in a number of different locations. Firstly, there is the forum. As an author, your forum account has certain privileges and this includes the ability to post in the Authors' Area of the forum which is hidden from the public that is regularly monitored by RGPublishing staff. Over a period of time we hope to upload .pdf guides for all the major areas of our business including FAQs and so on, but as first priority we would encourage you to post your questions on the forum. Failing the forum of course, there is always the website. Through the contact form, and associated links you are able to email support staff here who should be able to help you with your problem.
